“I spent my last two years of high school at Faith. I loved my family and playing football but when I learned we were to go to PI and my family was going to be split up in all directions I became very angry and would not get very close to any- one, My brother stayed in the states for his senior year; I went to a dorm and so did my sisters, My folks were in Northern Luzon. My coach tried to get Dad to let me stay with them in the states but Dad was insistent that I come. Got to play Basketball for Coach Hardeman; he taught me a lot about the game and it was an honor to play for him. Had St Clair’s for dorm parents, and today I feel blessed to have had them. Got to see the country, go to Hong Kong, Japan, etc. Still feel we could have won it all, we just slacked up. When I got home I went into the Cowboy life for awhile tried everything to bust myself up, rode some bulls, bareback horses, then raced motorcycles, but out of my rebellion I married a Christian girl, and have 4 daughters and we are active in our church. Read something in God’s word that said something to this effect, If we sacrifice ourselves, our family, for the glory of God we will inherit Gods kingdom, it was then I realized what my parents did, and this is when I came to grips with my anger. So kids if you are now where I was remember to think about what God has in store for you, and Thank Him.... I was truly Blessed by God to go to FAITH. Keep your heads up. Proverbs 3:5-6”
