To our dear family and friends,

We want to express our deepest, heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have stood with us during this tumultuous, but sacred month of saying goodbye to both of our earthly fathers as they have been ushered into their Eternal Home. We're so thankful this separation is only temporary! Thank you for every card written, every phone call or email message of prayer support and encouragement, every meal lovingly prepared, every act of friendship, every prayer offered up to the God of All Comfort on behalf of both of our families. Our emotions have been all over the place, tears flow easily, there has been much to do (and remains to be done) . . . but underneath we are supported and carried and assured daily of His presence, His power, and His peace. We rejoice that both of our Dads are safely HOME!

We also wanted to inform those of you in the area who may not know yet of the arrangements that have been made concerning services for Kathy's Dad. We had a small, private burial service on Wednesday, April 22 at the Waxhaw Cemetery, where his body was laid to rest next to that of his wife, Ruth (who was called Home in January 2007). Family in the area and close friends who had known Dad (quite a number from his & Mom's years in the Philippines) gathered for that special service and then a time of fellowship back at our house.

Since there is a niece's wedding on May 16th to which most of the family was already planning to come (including those coming from Arizona and New England), we plan to have the memorial service for Richard Gieser at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Townsend Building on the JAARS Center, 7405 Davis Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. The service will be followed by a time of visiting and light refreshments. If you're in the area and able to make it, you are most welcome!

Leaning on Him, grateful for you,
George & Kathy
