Steve Cadd ’72 “went to George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, and then returned to the Philippines. Steve recently was hon- ored with the Christian Service Award from the University. This is a little of what they wrote about him: “In 1995 he began Sword Productions, an evangelistic film and television production company for which he continues as president.....They have produced eight full length feature films, music videos, television shows—all with a Christian message relevant to the culture.” He helped make the first evangelist movie in the Philippine national language, and then did the same in Mongolia and Cambodia which led to the formation of Christian production companies there. He is now working in Vietnam, with invitations to Nepal, Indonesia, and pos- sibly Sri Lanka. Steve studied film-making in London, and has been training others how to share biblical truths to their nation, telling their own stories in their own language—with quality movies that can go into theaters. Steve is one of the pastors of a large church in Manila, has 4 children, 3 grandchildren, and is married to Mayen.”(from his mom, Helen Cadd)
