Steven Leuice (Chaplain 1998 to 2000) and Angela (Simpson) Leuice '74 has been pastoring a community church in Northern California for 6 years since we left the mission field overseas. We're involved in all sorts of ministries to adults and children and everyone in between. We still have happy memories of our years at Faith (Angela for 5 years living in the dorms from 1969 to 1974, and our whole family living at Filinvest and working for/attending FA between 1998 and 2000). We keep in touch with a many alumni from both generations via Facebook. Here’s what our adult kids are doing: Jessica (Leuice) Jacobus '98 and her husband Steven live and work in Mt. Juliet, TN. Jessica is a full-time speech pathologist as well as Mom to our 3-year-old granddaughter, Lilly. They have several Bible studies in their home and enjoy ministering to other 20- and 30-something couples.

Kurtis Leuice '00 is between jobs right now and hanging out with us in CA. He last worked for a year teaching preschoolers English in Korea, then for about 6 months in a government job on the coast of Texas preserving endangered Kemp's Ridley turtles. Next he will be working in Hawaii as an observer on fishing boats. Kristin (Leuice) Sawyer '02 and her husband Nate live in Durham, NC, and are ministering at the church where Nate is youth pastor. Kristin is a first grade teacher in the public school system which has been an interesting adjustment from teaching in Christian schools. She also leads worship every other Sunday at Nate's church. Kristin and Nate celebrated their first wedding anniversary October 2009. Ashley Leuice '07 is engaged to Nicholas Franco. They've been dating for six years and plan to be married in July 2010. Ashley has 1 1/2 years left of study until she will be a dental hygienist like her fiancée, Nick. When Nick asked us for Ashley's hand in marriage, Steven agreed but told him he must fulfill "the quest" before they wed. "The quest" has turned out to be a lot of helpful activities (we hope) and Nick has on occasion called Steven "Gandalf" because of his mysterious requirements in this premarital quest! Our entire family appreciates and values Faith Academy and its ministry to MK's!” http://aaatranscription.blogspot.com and http://angelaleuiceenglishtutor.wordpress.com
