Michael Cole ’00 “I am a nurse in the US Navy. After a 6 month deployment in Kuwait, I returned to Okinawa, Japan in time to pack up and transfer to Pensacola, FL (November 2009). I am currently working as charge nurse on L&D at the Naval Hospital and should be in Pensacola until 2012. In January I had the opportunity to go to Haiti following the devastating earthquake.  I spent 2 months on the USNS Comfort (one of the Navy's hospital ships) working on the pediatric ward. It was a challenging time but also a great experience. I fell in love with so many of the precious Haitian children and would've loved to bring one home with me! It was rewarding to see them begin the healing process and know that we were making a difference in their lives. In my off time I am enjoying the beautiful Florida weather and taking advantage of all the sunshine. I am looking forward to the class of 2000's reunion this summer and hope many of my classmates will be able to attend.”
