I’m no Abraham, and I’m not quite his age when he became a father.  Nevertheless, becoming a dad when one is in his 60’s is a momentous occasion.

Meet Peter LeRoy Snyder, a young Kenyan  man who I adopted.  He  lost his father when he was three years old and his mother when he was a teenager.  Peter and I minister together in Kenya:  I teach, and he translates.   In the fall he will enter Asbury Seminary in Orlando, FL, to pursue a doctorate in International Studies.  I am thrilled that Peter wants to be a college teacher, since that means he’s following in my footsteps!
