“I left Faith in 1999 and settled in Denver, CO, where Cadence mission headquarters is located. I worked in that office with Cadence MK’s until 2006 when I retired. I still live in Denver and am active in my church teaching 2/3rd graders in Sunday School or as they call it now “the children’s learning center”. The SS materials are excellent, so I don’t care what they call this fun time with the kids. I enjoy working with Hospice as a volunteer. This involves meeting many wonderful people who are soon to leave this earth. If they allow me, I read the Bible to them, pray for them, play Christian music, etc. My current patient has ALS and is being cared for in her home by her family and others. She is a Believer and soon to meet her Lord. I am involved in two Bible studies and find them challenging and greatly encouraging. One is Bible Study Fellowship. It is a lot of work, but well worth it. Our lecturer is one of the best women Bible teachers I have heard. The other study meets in my home and includes women from my church. We take turns leading the study of James. I enjoy having visitors and have an extra bedroom if you come through Denver. Currently, we are expecting another heavy spring snowstorm. I’m still trying to adjust to snow. When I was working in the Cadence office they called me “The Snow Queen” because I would leave and drive home when it began to snow. And I grew up in IOWA!!!!! I’m looking forward to a visit from Danielle McDowell in June. She taught at FA and some of you will remember her and her Australian accent. I believe she is a school administrator now. It will be fun to get caught up and to show her some of Colorado.”
